Barons’ Beer Garden
Once the home to four of the world’s largest beer breweries, Milwaukee has a rich history in beer and the German tradition of beer gardens. In tribute to those pivotal breweries and their namesakes; Joseph Schlitz, Frederick Pabst, Valentin Blatz and Frederick Miller, SSP America and the Milwaukee County Parks created the Barons’ Beer Garden. This indoor beer garden, located in Terminal C of the Milwaukee International Airport, becomes the 5th permanent beer garden in Milwaukee County and part of the Traveling Beer Garden series. Inspired by this Traveling Beer Garden series we draw the language of the repurposed firetruck, a concept started by Milwaukee County Parks and which has spread nationwide and the traditional look and feel of an outdoor German beer garden.
