Restaurant
O’Kelly Kasprak works with each client to deliver the right look, feel, and functionality specific to each endeavor. Conceptual design is critically important to setting the mood of the space, focusing on volume, light, color, texture, and impactful design elements. In addition to aesthetic design, it is apparent that providing a smooth operation is paramount to great food service, and OKK is an expert in the complexity of both. Whether it is developing a new concept or improving an existing establishment, OKK can help get there and make the process smooth and productive.
The Hampton Social
[ORD]
at O'Hare International Airport
O’Kelly Kasprak worked with Chicago Hospitality Partners to bring the East Coast to O’Hare’s Terminal 5. The space features design cues from coastal living, including beachy vibes and nautical flare. Hemp rope, washed-out woods, pops of nautical blue, and an indoor/outdoor feel help set the scene. With an attitude of “rosé all day”, travelers can take a break from the hustle of the airport.
Sushi-San
O’Kelly Kasprak was excited to be a part of the design team for the new Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises hot spot, Sushi San. As the sister restaurant to the established Ramen San, Sushi San embraced the hip minimalism of the brand while still showcasing its unique approach to Japanese cuisine. Inspired by their signature hand-rolled sushi and modern Hip Hop culture, the design team utilized traditional Japanese elements as well as American influences
to create a modern and relaxed atmosphere.
Bar Siena
[ORD]
at O'Hare International Airport
OKK worked closely with Executive Chef Fabio Viviani and Chicago Hospitality Partners in the development of Bar Siena at Terminal 5 in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. OKK strove to capture the design essence of the successful Bar Siena predecessors in downtown Chicago, bringing the same vibe to the airport. One of the features of the design is the iconic lit tree, creating a great backdrop to the bar. Travelers can now escape everyday travel with a lively casual Italian meal.
Fisk & Co.
The renovation of the restaurant at Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco in Chicago provided O’Kelly Kasprak with an incredible opportunity to collaborate with OZ design. The combined design team developed a concept that blends the vibe of Belgium’s lively bistros with the spirit of Chicago’s historic restaurant industry. Drawing from the mussel and beer-focused menu, the team created a modern industrial space that puts a unique spin on nautical design.
The Woodall
O’Kelly Kasprak worked closely with Chef John Metz and the team best known for Marlow’s Tavern to launch The Woodall, a modern yet nostalgic neighborhood tavern in Atlanta, GA. The design highlights include a custom mural by Thomas Turner, a stunning back bar that connects the exterior and interior, and a variety of seating types offering different dining experiences. The design team worked hard to take full advantage of outdoor spaces, blending the exterior and interior. The exquisite menu of the Woodall features uniquely crafted cocktails and a modern take on steak and seafood.
B Restaurant
To fit with the newly renovated Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort, OKK designed B Restaurant, which continued to draw on the mid-20th century inspiration. Taking advantage of the spectacular golf course views, the design provides a warm and comfortable space for guests to drink, dine or simply have a casual meeting
